I am showing a piece of art work exhibited in this online art exhibition. It is a digital art piece working around the labour of bananas.
On the origins of this art shows, it is an online art exhibition that was conceived with the ‘banana’ as the object for artistic and curation practice. Artists submit their artwork on their interpretations of the banana and the curators curate the art works. The curatorial direction gives a sense of being playful while stretching the possibilities of the meanings of the art works received.
I was intrigued by the different genres of curatorial expansion based on 30 works. It was an interesting experience browsing through the website and looking at the art works and the curators thoughts and ideas.
